Solar Panel Project at Nelson Bay

“I can thoroughly recommend All Green Environmental Solutions for a solar installation given my recent experience with this company. After a lot of personal research, I had an 8.5kW, 20 panel system installed on my tile roof with Enphase inverters on each 425- watt Trina panel, with their Envoy monitoring system able to monitor the performance of each individual panel on my phone and computer. I was also able to download a plugin and integrate it into my Homeseer home automation system.

I received a number of quotes from other installers, but none of them gave me much confidence in their ability to design a 3 phase system that would satisfy my criteria for a complex roof orientation, with some shading issues. Generating a series of shadow diagrams using a program available on Google Earth and using the PV Watts calculator to generate spreadsheets of the output from various panel orientations helped my research for an efficient system.

The main differences of opinion arose over me clambering around over my roof with a 30-meter tape taking photographs at various times of the day and making my calculations, and them dragging some little squares around a satellite image of my roof on an iPad screen in their office and telling me that it would not fit.

The All Green Environmental Solutions compromise came with an assurance that a serious consultation with the installer would take place on the day. Roger arrived on time with his crew and did not disappoint. With in fifteen minutes, I had a design that confirmed my calculations, and the guys were already making it happen. Amazing what a look at the actual roof and pushing a couple of tiles up in the appropriate places will reveal.

The crew were polite, and efficient, and they completed a very professional-looking installation by early afternoon and left everything tidy. Roger the electrician set up the system, and explained briefly how the monitoring app worked and how to shut down and energise the system should it require it. This was followed up in an email with a detailed manual attached later in the day.

The other thing that impressed me, after a long email explaining my research and expectations and several in depth telephone discussions, Mark, their Systems Designer, was able to convince me that he actually knew what he was talking about and helped me confirm that I was on the right track. He offered a reasonable quote and an offer of further consultation if I wish to modify, add to the system, or install a battery or EV charger at a later date, which was one of the major advantages of this particular versatile

design.

I have read a few horror stories that people have relayed online about their installation experiences, but I can only advise people to do their homework, find someone that can actually communicate, deliver what they promise, and not just sell stuff. I think I found that with All Green Environmental Solutions. Nearly a month on and the system has exceeded my expectations.”
