Haier 330L hot water heat pump - Haier Hot Water Heat Pumps

HEAT PUMP HOT WATER

An efficient upgrade for everyday hot water.

A hot water heat pump transfers heat from the surrounding air into water stored in a tank. It uses electricity to run the compressor and fan, rather than relying only on an electric heating element. That makes it a practical option when replacing an older electric storage water heater.

Haier’s monoblock design combines the heat pump and cylinder in one unit. The range includes Wi-Fi control through SmartHQ™, five operating modes and solar PV optimisation options. We start with your hot water use, existing heater and installation space before recommending a model.

Lower electricity use

Haier reports 69–79% less electricity to heat the same volume of water than a standard electric storage heater under the specified test conditions.*

Made to work with solar

Plan hot water heating around available solar electricity or lower-cost tariff periods. Solar PV mode needs a compatible control signal; timed heating is another option.

Control from your phone

SmartHQ™ lets you choose Auto, Eco, Electric, Vacation or Boost mode. Adjust operation as your household’s routine changes.

*Manufacturer comparison for Haier 200L, 250L and 330L monoblock models against standard electric storage water heaters in Zones 1–5 under AS/NZS 4234:2008. Actual energy use and bill savings depend on climate, demand, tariffs, settings and installation. This is a hot water energy comparison, not a whole-home bill reduction.

COMPARE THE RANGE

Choose the right Haier heat pump for your home.

The range names are nominal sizes. The brochure lists actual storage capacities below. Household size alone does not determine the right unit: shower use, baths, peak demand, recovery time and available space also matter.

SOLAR + HOT WATER

Make more use of the electricity your roof generates.

If you already have solar panels, a hot water heat pump can help shift water heating into daytime generation hours. The tank stores the heated water for use later, including evening showers.

Haier’s Eco mode includes solar PV optimisation. Dedicated Solar PV mode requires a compatible signal from your energy management system; it does not automatically work with every inverter. Our team can discuss suitable controls and timing alongside your existing solar setup.

INSTALLATION + REPLACEMENT

A good upgrade starts with your home.

1. Share your current setup

Send your suburb, the type and age of your existing heater, household demand and clear photos of the heater and surrounding space.

2. Compare a suitable system

We assess tank capacity, ventilation, clearances, noise-sensitive areas, plumbing, drainage and electrical supply. Plug-in models still need a suitable dedicated supply.

3. Review your installation quote

Your quote should identify the model, installation scope, any electrical or plumbing changes, removal arrangements and confirmed incentives.

Replacing gas hot water may need additional electrical work and safe gas disconnection. A heat pump requires adequate airflow and drainage; it should not be placed in an enclosed cupboard without a design permitted by the installation instructions.

PRICE + INCENTIVES

Get an installed price for your property.

The price of a Haier hot water heat pump installation depends on the model, access, plumbing, electrical work and any changes needed at the existing heater location. Request a quote so you can compare the complete installed cost.

Eligible hot water upgrades may qualify for an upfront discount through the NSW Energy Savings Scheme. Federal Small-scale Technology Certificates may also be available for eligible listed systems. Availability and value depend on the exact model, your existing heater, installation location, installation date and scheme rules.

Ask All Green whether an incentive can be offered for your installation and whether it is included in the quote. Eligibility and discounts must be confirmed before work starts.

Read the NSW Government hot water upgrade incentive guidance.

WARRANTY + SUPPORT

Know what is covered.

For domestic use, Haier’s supplied brochure lists 7 years on cylinder parts, 5 years on refrigeration and other component parts, and 5 years labour. Commercial-use coverage is different: the brochure lists 1 year for parts and labour.

Coverage is subject to Haier’s manufacturer warranty terms, correct installation and maintenance requirements. Ask for the current warranty document with your quote. Haier customer care and service support are backed locally by Fisher & Paykel.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Haier heat pump hot water FAQs

It uses electricity to move heat from outdoor air into water stored in the cylinder. The monoblock design combines the heat pump and storage tank in one unit. An electric element can provide additional heating when the selected operating mode requires it.

The supplied range includes the 200L HP200M1U1P, 250L HP250M1U1P and 330L HP330M1U1 monoblock models. The brochure lists actual tank capacities of 195L, 246L and 330L respectively. Ask us to confirm current availability.

The right size depends on peak hot water use, showers, baths, climate, recovery time and installation space. Send your household details and current heater size so we can assess suitable options; we do not size a system from occupant numbers alone.

Yes, it can use electricity generated by a solar PV system. Heating during daylight hours may help use more of that energy at home. Haier Solar PV mode requires a compatible control signal; we check compatibility with your inverter or energy management system.

No. A heat pump can run from grid electricity. Solar panels are optional and can help supply electricity during daytime heating.

A replacement may be possible after an assessment of the location, airflow, drainage, plumbing and electrical supply. Replacing gas hot water may require additional electrical work and safe gas disconnection. Your quote identifies the required work.

Installed cost depends on the model and the work required at your property. Request a quote with your suburb and photos of the existing heater. Any confirmed incentive should be shown separately so the final price is clear.

Eligible upgrades may receive an upfront discount through the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, and eligible listed systems may qualify for federal STCs. Ask whether the installer offers the relevant incentive. Eligibility depends on the model, existing heater, location, installation date and scheme requirements.
